Combine weight training with cardio to maximize weight loss

"Many women are under the impression that cardiovascular exercise is the only way to burn body fat and lose weight. This is a myth."

Weight training is essential for women’s weight loss.

Many women are under the impression that cardiovascular exercise is the only way to burn body fat and lose  weight.

This is a myth.

While cardio exercise is a very important part of one’s health and fitness, (as it’s needed to keep the heart and cardiovascular system strong and healthy), you will only burn calories during cardio exercise and your body will soon adapt to the type and duration of the cardio workout, which over time can lead to a weight-loss plateau.

Women are usually afraid to try weight training because they think that it will give them a thick and bulky appearance. This is also a myth.

Women can achieve a toned and fit appearance without that big bulky look, by how they train.

When performed properly, weight resistance training has many benefits, from a toned fit body, increased metabolism and weight loss, new muscle tone which supports the skeletal system improving posture, and increases bone density (which begins to decrease as we age).

Unlike cardio exercise, weight training builds muscle tone, which burns calories not only during exercise, but up to 24 hours afterwards, burning calories even while you sleep.

With all the benefits of weight resistance training, there’s no better time to get started than now.
