Dan Dupuis victorious at Birchbank Men's Open

Trail native Dan Dupuis made a stunning return to his home course, shooting a 65 on the final round to win the Birchbank Open.

Trail native Dan Dupuis returned to his home course to capture the Rossland Trail Men's Open at Birchbank on Sunday.

In a stunning display of shot making and execution on the greens, Dan Dupuis made a triumphant return to his home course by shooting a seven-under par 65 in the third and final round to win the Birchbank Men's Open.

Dupuis, who was born and raised in Trail but now lives in Powell River, shot a 72 Friday, a 68 Saturday and finished with a scorching 65 Sunday, to go 11-under par through the three-round championship. Edinburgh, Scot. native Finlay Young came second going 6-under over the three days, while Todd Tibke came third at 4-under thanks to a 68 on the final day.
