Golf: Provincial qualifiers tee off

Redstone and Birchbank Golf Courses will be hosting the Men’s Amateur and Junior qualifiers this weekend.

Redstone and Birchbank Golf Courses will be hosting concurrently the Men’s Amateur and Junior qualifiers for their respective provincial championships this weekend.

The qualifiers will tee off at Redstone on Saturday at noon and at the same time at Birchbank on Sunday. The top-five junior golfers will qualify for the B.C. Junior championship held in Pitt Meadows July 8-11, while the top four will make the grade for the Men’s 112th B.C. Amateur July 15-18 at the Seymour Golf and Country Club in North Vancouver.

The Men’s senior qualifier will also hit the links in Christina Lake this weekend. Golfers tee off at noon with the top qualifiers returning for the provincial championship at Christina, July 22-24.
