Deanne Horning and his 5N Plus rink took no prisoners on Thursday night in the Kootenay Savings Super League.

Deanne Horning and his 5N Plus rink took no prisoners on Thursday night in the Kootenay Savings Super League.

The Horning rink was preparing for a weekend cash spiel in Nelson, and were in top form as they scored early and often, handing Rose Beauchamp and her Maglio Ladies team a 10-0 defeat.

Ken Fines and his men’s team from Trail have been curling very well lately, and they carried that momentum by upsetting Myron Nichol’s second place squad, 8-3.

In the only other match, Darrin Albo’s men’s team toppled the Desiree Schmidt foursome 9-5. Albo made several double take-outs to preserve the victory.

Super League continues Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Trail Curling Club.
