For the second weekend in a row, the Trail Curling Club will be determining which team will represent the Kootenays at a provincial championship.

This weekend a berth in the B.C. boys’ juvenile championship will be up for grabs when the Justin Umpherville rink from Trail hosts the Ian Redeker foursome curling out of Invermere.

The Umpherville rink includes Calvin Haper, Harlen Young, Dononvan Mudie and Jonathan Mock.

The teams will play a best-of-three series with games Saturday at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. If a deciding third game is needed, it is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Sunday.

The winner will advance to the provincials set for Mar. 3 to 6 in Cowichan.

The MacKay rink from Trail has already earned a berth in the girls’ provincials thanks to their zone win in December.
