The Dan Horan rink swept its way to a first-place finish in the opening draw of the retiree curling season.

The Dan Horan rink swept its way to a first-place finish in the opening draw of the retiree curling season.

For the rest of the Trail Mens Retiree Curling Club its time to look forward to the second quarter.  Time to say goodbye to current teammates and welcome three new teammates, drawn from a hat.

Shuffling the teams every quarter keeps the social side of mens retiree curling as important as what happens out on the ice.  It also means individuals can join the club and have the opportunity to play on a team.

If you are interested in curling, but have not been on the ice in a while, or have never been on the ice, look for the “Learn To Curl” program coming to the Trail Curling Club starting Jan. 25. It’s a series of four, two hour lessons to get you ready to play.  Those interested can register through Selkirk College.
