The Schmidt and Fines rinks went head-to-head, exchanging points up until the sixth end when Fines jumped into a 6-3 lead. However Schmidt replied with a four ender in the ninth end and capped off the game with three more in the 10th to make the final 12-8 for the Schmidt ladies.

The Maglio Men’s team and the Ferguson men’s team also played a tight game that remained close until the fifth end. The turning point emerged when Brian LeMoel tapped the Maglio team’s shot rock out of the house for three points giving the Ferguson team a comfortable lead for the remainder of the game. Make the final 8-4 for Ferguson.

The Maglio Ladies team pulled out a win, capped off by an excellent shot for four in the sixth end against the Morehouse rink who was skipped by their third, to end it 9-8.

It was a quick game between the West Kootenay Mechanical team and 5N Plus. Myron Nichol of WKM’s team made a nice take out for five points in the third end, which the 5N Plus team could not recover from. The game ended in six with a score of 9-1.

Kootenay Savings Super League resumes Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Trail Curling Club.
