The Desiree Schmidt rink from Beaver Valley started off strong against Rose Beauchamp’s Maglio Ladies rink scoring four in the second end on their way to a 10-2 win.

The Maglio men’s team, skipped by Russ Beauchamp, struggled throughout the game with 5-N Plus, missing key shots only by inches. Fred Thompson capitalized on the near misses leading his team to a 10-1 victory in six ends.

It was also a short game between the Fines’ rink and the Ferguson rink. Ferguson stole two points in the fourth end, to go on to an 8-2 win.

Challenging ice conditions in the first end did in the Morehouse rink and let Myron Nichol and his West Kootenay Mechanical team to score three. The see-saw battle ended when WKM  scored a deuce in the seventh to take it 7-3.
