The Gonzaga University Basketball Camp is coming to Selkirk College.
The Selkirk Saints Athletics program and Kootenay Basketball have teamed up to present a new basketball camp for boys and girls aged 11-18 yrs old.
Jerry Krause, Director of Men’s Basketball at Gonzaga University is confirmed as the head instructor.
Krause has been a professional basketball scout and general manager for such franchises as the Baltimore Bullets and the Chicago Bulls. He is also a two time recipient of the NBA’s Executive of the Year award. Highly regarded as a master of the fundamentals, Krause has authored 13 instructional coaching books on basketball and has been honoured for his efforts as a coach, educator and administrator.
The camp for boys and girls 11-14 years of age will take place on Oct. 22 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and a similar session will be held for boys and girls 15 and up on Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All camps will take place at the Castlegar Campus gymnasium.
