The annual Trail Smoke Eater Alumni ALS dinner and golf fundraiser added another feature guest to their lineup next week.
Vancouver Canucks forward Jeff Tambellini confirmed that he will be attending the event along with his dad, Edmonton Oilers GM Steve Tambellini, and Oilers coach Tom Renney.
Smoke Eater president Tom Gawryletz spoke to Jeff Friday, who said he’s committed to the dinner and may join up with a foursome at Birchbank Saturday.
Proceeds from the July 8 dinner at the Riverbelle and the golf tournament, July 9, go to the Smoke Eaters and the ALS Society for the treatment of amytrophic lateral sclerosis, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
