Rossland Secondary School’s (RSS) girls’ soccer team traveled to Victoria last weekend to play in the single ‘A’ Provincials.
The team played well finishing the round robin with a two and one record. The squad defeated North Island 3-1, lost their second match to Immaculatta 4-1 before bouncing back with a solid 3-1 victory over Fort St. James.
RSS finished tied for first place in the public school division.
In the playoff round, RSS lost to Ashcroft 3-1, but beat St. Ann’s Academy 3-2 to finish seventh overall, the best standing ever for any Rossland school team.
