Trail Parks and Rec: Support Jumpstart: join the Easter Egg hunt at Gyro

Upcoming recreation events sponsored by Trail Parks and Recreation.

Don’t miss the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday at Gyro Park. Bring your Easter basket, keep a lookout for the Easter bunny, and enjoy the hunt for chocolate goodies. There will be hot dogs and hamburgers available for purchase, hosted by the Trail Kiwanis Club. All proceeds go to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart initiative. Coffee and hot chocolate will be available for free. Come and join us for a fun morning at the park. The hunt starts at 11 a.m. sharp.

Public Skating is celebrating the last week of Spring Break. Fun music, prizes, and pizza sold for $1 per slice, free hot chocolate. Don’t miss the last one on Thursday from noon to 1 p.m.

Mother’s Unite Garage Sale welcomes all on Apr. 6 at the Trail Memorial Centre gym. The gym will be turned into a giant indoor garage sale for all items suitable for children from newborns to 12 year olds. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or rent a table for only $20, and turn those gently used items into cash. To rent a table, register at Trail Parks and Recreation by April 4.

Register for our new Gentle Morning Yoga  classes with Jana Roy. Classes start Apr. 2 to June 4, every Tuesday from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. at the Trail Memorial Centre.

Mom and Baby Fitness Classes will be starting Apr. 4 to May 9, Thursday’s from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. at the Trail Memorial Centre. This action-packed class includes a large variety of fun, easy to follow exercises that you can do with your baby. Give it a try!

Our next Seniors Get Fit is being held on Apr. 5, Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Aquatic Centre. You will be introduced to the fitness centre, learning about a program, safe lifting techniques, avoiding injury and goal setting.

Mom’s Time Out for ages 1 to 5 runs Apr. 8 to May 1, Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Trail Aquatic Centre. The fee includes entry into the aquatic and fitness centre for one parent, while your child is being supervised by our qualified instructors.
