May 6, 1933 - Feb 4, 2018
It is with heavy hearts the O'Shea family said goodbye to their father Charles Francis Mary O'Shea on February 4, 2018 at Castleview Care Centre in Castlegar, BC. Charlie was born on May 6, 1933 in Trail, BC.

Charlie is predeceased by his wife Anna Eliza O'Shea (nee Sordi), his father Charles Grace Corbet of Rennies, County Cork, Ireland and his mother Francis (Fanny) (nee Browne) of Tubrid, County Cork, Ireland. He leaves behind his two sons; Charlie and Allan, his two daughters; Teresa and Rhonda (Steve Williams), and his two beautiful grandsons; Gavriel and Callum who he was very proud of.

Charlie was always a kind, helpful and original man. He took pride and care in everything he did. He taught us all that it was good to a free thinker and to always be yourself.

His career started as a Telegrapher and finally a Station Manager with the CP Rail. From there, he started his own business and ran O'Shea Recordings and finally Radio Shack for 15 years until circumstances caused him to close the doors. He finished his career with Teck (Cominco).

Charlie loved his family and his many trips to see us all and he took lots of trips to Nelson and Kaslo with his wife. Flying was a love and he could always be found at the Flying Club in Trail, taking somebody flying.

He will be remembered by some with his smile and greetings such as, "Greetings and Hallucinations", followed by usually a long conversation. "Well, I won't say goodbye, I'll see you later", which he said to the end. So Dad; we agree. We will see you later! You will be missed!! Happy flying Dad.

The family would like to thank Castleview Care Centre where Charlie was loved and cared for by the amazing and compassionate staff for the last two years.

A family graveside service was held at Fruitvale Memorial Cemetery with Father Nino Tuyo, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Charlie's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
