Elinor Hope Isherwood
Mom passed away in the early hours of October 26, 2013, just a few days after celebrating her 88th birthday. She was born Elinor Zaharychuck on October 20, 1925 in Winnipeg Manitoba, the daughter of Anne and Andrew. Mom is survived by her two children Andrew and George (Jan), her only brother Andrew Durban (Doreen), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mom married Eldon Isherwood on November 25, 1948 and they lived very much in love until dad passed away much too soon at the age of 69 years. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Lauren (Nick), Andrew and their mother Roxie, and Angele (Jonathan) and her great-grandchildren Evangeline, Virginia and Mack. Aunt Ellie will always be remembered by her special nieces Sharon and Terry.
Mom loved her many friends and took great joy in her regular lunches with Shirley and Pat and her reunions with the MustySteers Joan and Lise. She particularly enjoyed shopping with Scott and Dennis.
At mom’s request there will be no service and the family will hold a private celebration of her life at a future date. Mom and the family would ask that in lieu of flowers or condolences you make a donation to a charity of your choice or just be kind to each other.
