Lillian was born and raised on a farm in West Bend, Saskatchewan. During her working career in Yorkton, where she was a cook at the Boston Café, she met Alfie. They left Saskatchewan in the spring of 1956 and headed west for better opportunities and settled in Fruitvale, BC, where they bought a house and raised their family. Lillian was an avid gardener and besides looking after the household she found time to crochet and carry on her Ukrainian traditions.

Lillian is survived by her husband Alfred, brother George (Gloria), sister Ann, a son Terry (Glenda) and 4 grandchildren; Jason, Laura (Steve), Benjamin and Eric as well as 3 great-grandsons; Evan, Bryce and Riley.

A Memorial Service will be at the Fruitvale United Church at 10:00 am on Friday, June 10, 2016 with Reverend Michael Hare Officiating. Burial will be at the Fruitvale Memorial Cemetery. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.

Thanks to the nurses and staff at Poplar Ridge for their patience and understanding.
