FAIR offers workshop on improving
relationships
A clinical counsellor in Trail is hoping to spread word of what it means to be in a healthy relationship at an upcoming event.
“I believe many people want to have a better relationship, but are not sure how to overcome the stumbling blocks that have occurred over time,” said FAIR’s Marcia Carlson. “This presentation will allow you to understand a lot of those stumbling blocks and give you concrete information on how to overcome them.”
Carlson will host Relationship Enhancement on Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Trail Family and Resource Centre.
The workshop will cover how relationships change over time and ways to weather the change, communication styles that work, how love is shown and other important aspects of a healthy relationship.
With 18 years experience with FAIR, Carlson has worked with women, giving them instruction on identifying both abusive and effective relationship patterns.
But this event is for both women and men interested in strengthening a relationship.
Attendees are asked to make a donation to the Stop the Violence program.
Call Carlson at FAIR (364-2326) to register for the presentation, which is limited to 30 attendees.
FAIR is located at 2079 Columbia Ave.
