Women at FAIR’s Day of Remembrance and Action event placed roses as they read the names of those who were killed in the Montreal Massacre that occurred on Dec. 6 1989. The crowd at the event Tuesday night at the Trail United Church Hall held a moment of silence in recognition of this tragedy. The annual stop the violence event commemorated women who’ve suffered from violence but also opened the floor to discussion on taking a proactive approach.
