And while everyone involved in a winner in their own right, judges narrowed down the field for a list of 78 gardens.

This list of winners ranges from rock gardens to most beautiful block. In total 18 winners were crowned at the awards ceremony on July 12.

The Trail Times will highlight a sample of some of these winners over the next couple of weeks.

However, to recognize all the contestants, here’s a list of the top gardens selected by the judges.

Edible – Enzo and Tony Driutti

Wow – Allen and Annette Gallatin

Water Feature – Norm and Joanne Murdoch

LaFace Historical Garden Award – Luigi Bedin

Commercial – West Kootenay Animal Hospital

Institutional – St. Andrews and St. George Anglican Church

Downtown Appreciation Award – Arlington Bar and Grill

Green Award – Trail’s Treasure Chest

Mystery House Award – Bob and Linda Wishneski

Strata/Rental – Riverside Apartments

Newly Established – Antonio and Maria DeLaurenties
