Music

• Rougemusic at the Rouge Gallery in Rossland welcomes the Christmas season with a concert featuring Nelson vocalist Allison Girvan and contemporary-jazz guitarist Paul Lansberg. Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Tickets $15 available at the Rouge, call 362-9609.

• Ring in the holidays with St. Michael’s School Christmas Concert. Tuesday at 7 p.m., admission by donation.

Gallery

• Visac Gallery presents “Small Treasures and Big Finds.” Local artists and artisans will be displaying and selling their beautiful works of art in all manner of mediums at the gallery, 1501 Cedar Ave., until Jan. 11, Monday to Saturday, 10 to 2 p.m.

• Sunday Cinema presents “Moneyball,” starring Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The rise of Billy Bean, brilliant manager of the Oakland A’s, who built a winning team based on computer analysis. Royal Theatre, 4 p.m., $9.

• A Mood Disorder Support Group is organizing in Trail and will be meeting on Tuesday at the Kiro Wellness Centre at 1:30 p.m. Call Niki at 367-6391 for more information.

• Dr. Neil Elliot will be offering a provocative series of talks on his recent PhD thesis on “Soulriding and the Spirituality of Snowboarding,” featuring discussions on religion vs spirituality, at the Rouge Gallery in Rossland: today and Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. Admission by donation.

• Silver City Nites festivities start Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. on Cedar Ave. in downtown Trail. Celebrate the holidays in style with local businesses, community groups and of course Santa. Enjoy the Candy Parade at 6 p.m., Tree Lighting, the St. Michael’s Christmas choir, late nite shopping and more.
