Rossland Winter Carnival
• Kicks off with the 114th Carnival Parade at 6:30 p.m. Friday. After the parade, there will be free hotdogs and hot chocolate for the kids, a bonfire and season pass draw at Queen and Columbia.
• Sonny Samuelson Bobsled Race takes off at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Spokane Street.
• The 22nd Annual Rotary Wine Festival at the Prestige. Semi-formal evening of fine wines, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, art and entertainment, 7-10 p.m. Saturday, tickets $50 at Powderhound.
