Regional firefighters were called to the scene of a structure fire in East Trail shortly after 2 a.m. Monday.
Upon arrival at the home, located in the 1100-block of Columbia Avenue, crews found a detached garage fully engulfed in flames.
"The fire was quickly extinguished to prevent extension," reports Captain Lee De Pellegrin. "But the fire did result in some heat damage to the neighbouring homes."
De Pellegrin says there were no injuries to the homeowners or firefighters.
A crew of nine from Station 374 Trail attended, supported by three firefighters from Station 372 Warfield.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
