Grateful for good care at Trail hospital

In recent months I have listened to people talk about our medical system and at some times how efficient it is and other times how inefficient it is.

The stories I have listened to I usually do not comment on because you can’t comment on something that you really have not seen first hand.

Low and behold, not by my choice, I got to see the medical system work this past weekend.

I had to go to emergency at the Trail hospital on Saturday.

From the time I walked in to the time I left I was treated in a very professional and efficient manner. My issue was taken care of and for that I am very thankful.

I realize this cannot happen to everybody every time as circumstances can and do dictate the situation.

I just wish that people could realize that the medical people do try their best to give their best.

Sometimes it does not seem that way to the person receiving the attention, but for the most part I think it is.

If our government comes through with what they have proposed for the nurse-to-patient care ratio, I can only see something that is good now, only getting better.

To the staff in emergency — I want to thank you all for treating me that day and getting me out the door and on my way to feeling better.

Bob Zanussi,

Trail
