Dear Citizens of Trail,

Spring is here, I think!

I did see a robin today in my front yard.

I have also seen many Trailites out walking their dogs and even working in their yards.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve also noticed three people picking up trash, while on their walks within the city.

One of these persons is a gentleman whose name is Mike, who always has a bag in hand picking up garbage.

What a wonderful idea it would be, if everyone out walking, could do the same.

Heaven knows , there’s lots of garbage in our streets and parks, which has been hidden by the snow.

Even if each one of us cleans up the boulevards, streets and alleys in front and behind our residences, what a positive difference that would make.

I would like to challenge the citizens of Trail to help those three people, make Trail the most garbage free city in the Kootenays.

Sincerely,

Barry Benner,

Trail
