It was a day to celebrate everything Canadian.
The Canada Day event at Beaver Creek provincial park took on even more significance this year celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday.
From pancakes and maple syrup to music in the park to the singing of ‘O Canada’ complete with birthday cake, the day brought out a steady stream of citizens celebrating Canada.
Organizers also gathered people together to create a giant Canadian flag adding a chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ to the festivities.
The celebrations were set to be capped off with fireworks Saturday night at Gyro Park
