RCMP released the name of a Trail man who remains in critical condition at Vancouver General Hospital after a serious accident on Saturday in Nakusp.

Philip George Walker, 37 (not 38 as initially reported), from Trail was the passenger in a vehicle driven by Daryl Travis Thomson, 25, from Revelstoke at the time of the collision.

A passerby found the two men with a pickup in the ditch early Saturday morning and contacted RCMP.

The two men were rushed to Arrow Lake Hospital. Due to the injuries both men were flown by Air Ambulance to Vancouver General Hospital.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision. RCMP are unable to interview either man because of their injuries.
