Members of the Beaver Valley Youth Club worked hard over a hot oven making meat pies.
The pies, made from scratch, were sold around the community to raise money for the local food bank.
In partnership with the Kootenay Savings Fruitvale branch, Fair Realty, Marino Wholesale and Liberty Foods, the club raised $1,080, all of which was donated to the food bank to help those who are in need during the holiday season.
The money was given in the form of a cheque at a presentation on Dec. 8.
