Cops collar couple of car crooks

Greater Trail - On the beat

While police have arrested two suspects in relation to a string of thefts from vehicles this week, they have not closed the book on this file.

Trail RCMP are still investigating the six break and enters and thefts from vehicles in the Laburnum area that took place Sunday morning, according to Sgt. Rob Hawton.

The suspects will appear in Rossland court Aug. 20.

A 33-year-old Trail man was sentenced to one-year jail time following a break and enter in his hometown.

Trevor Isenor was picked up July 10 after he threw a rock through the window of an East Trail home, entered it and then stole jewelry and small electronic equipment.

The man who was charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000, was convicted July 13 in Grand Forks.
