Gord Sims, the crime prevention officer in the Greater Trail area, is warning residents of a vacuum sales company named " Advanced Air " based in Victoria, B.C. is in the Greater Trail area going to various residences selling vacuums.
His press release stated this company has been identified by the Better Business Bureau as having a pattern of complaints such as aggressive high-pressure sales tactics by some individual salespeople; instances of selling to vulnerable seniors; problems with some of the vacuum machines and air purifiers purchased; and consumer difficulty with cancelling their direct sales contracts.
Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation
This office has received complaints regarding this company's sales representatives and wants to advise the public to be vigilant and check into the background and business practices of any new company or business you deal with if not already familiar with them. Complaints should be registered with the Better Business Bureau or Consumer Protection Authority.
