Update: DriveBC has reported the incident is now cleared and Highway 22A has re-opened.

DriveBC issued an advisory just before 8:45 am. Wednesday that Highway 22A - one kilometre south of Trail - is shutdown due to a vehicle incident.
The accident happened between Beaver Creek Park Road and Knight Street.
The road is closed and a detour is in effect.
“Detour available for local traffic weighing less than 5500 kg via Highway 3B, Columbia Gardens Road and Station Road through Fruitvale,” DriveBC advised.
The estimated time of re-opening is at 9:30 a.m.
