Friday night (May 31), a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer was on routine patrol when he spotted a 47-year-old Rossland man driving his vehicle on the wrong side of the highway in the 1300 block of Highway 3B, in Warfield.

The officer detained the man and his vehicle roadside.

The officer made observations that lead him to suspect the man’s ability to drive was impaired by alcohol.

A demand was read to the driver, who provided a sample of his breath roadside that police say resulted in a “fail.”

He was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and his vehicle is impounded for up to 30 days.
