Shortly after 6 a.m., Tuesday (May 28), a frontline RCMP officer received a tip which led to the recovery of a stolen truck, camping trailer, and boat.

Police say the cache was discovered parked on a highway runaway lane in the 1300 block of Schofield Highway, in Warfield.

The officer attended and confirmed all three items had been recently stolen from local residences.

The RCMP Forensic Identification Service was contacted and attended the scene to conduct a forensic examination.

The owners were contacted and had their possessions returned.

The matter remains under criminal investigation.

“Please lock your vehicles and secure your keys in a safe place,” advises Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.

“Do your best to secure your recreational vehicles as they are often easier to target and steal due to their portability.”

Make sure to record all of your vehicle identification numbers, he adds.

“This may help police recover your items if stolen.”
