The Trail Smoke Eaters are rallying fans to get their season tickets soon, and enjoy the same exciting game-day experience at an incredible discount.

With inflation rampant, the savings of $80 per season pass is a welcome break offered by the Smoke Eaters and the Murphy family that fans should seize before the sale expires.

Season tickets are selling at their 2019 price of $279 until May 31. On average that is $11.25 per ticket for 26 Smokies games, in what could be one of their best seasons in recent years.

Smoke Eaters head coach and GM Tim Fragle has high expectations for the 2024-25 Smoke Eaters line up.

“We have a strong core returning to this year’s team, about 13 guys,” said Fragle. “We’ve added five players here in the last three weeks with junior experience, and all committed players. We also have our new recruits that are committed so I feel really comfortable with the roster.”

The Smoke Eaters improved significantly last season, winning eight more games and finishing with 15 more points than in 2023, while posting a winning, 28-20-6-0, record in 2024.

“If you look at the progress last year to this year and the winning percentage, a big improvement; so we just want to keep it going in the right direction into next year,” added Fragle.

Being a season-ticket holder is not just about watching hockey games, but enjoying the whole game-day experience. Director of Hockey Operations Craig Clare says even that will be enhanced, with the addition of a new sound system.

The fan base is crucial to a successful team and having the support game-in and game-out is a privilege the Smoke Eaters players, owners, and staff fully recognize and appreciate.

“For a town of our size we are one of the smallest markets in the BCHL, but we average in the top five in attendance, so as an organization, it doesn’t go unnoticed the support we receive in the community,” said Clare.

In addition to saving money on season tickets, membership has its privileges.

As a 2024-25 Trail Smoke Eaters Season Ticket holder you can choose your own seat, and have first dibs on playoff tickets and seats.

You will be included in the Smokies Season Ticket Pickup Party, where you will be treated to coffee and cookies, a dressing room tour and a chance to personally meet the Smoke Eaters players and coaches.

There will be an early bird draw prize, where one lucky season ticket holder will win their 2024-25 Season Ticket back for free. The draw goes on May 31, the early bird deadline.

Season ticket holders get a bring-a-friend ticket voucher for a Trail Smoke Eaters exhibition game and a regular season game.

In addition, ticket holders receive a collectable 2024-25 season schedule fridge magnet, a 2-for-1 pass at Birchbank Golf Course, 10 per cent off Smokies merchandise in the Smokies Store on game night, and first-in-line to purchase special Smoke Eaters events tickets, like the 2024 Smokiepalooza on Sept. 7, at 10 per cent off.

And last but not least, join the Murphy Family Foundation Skate with the Smokies, a free public skating event that goes once a month.

The Smoke Eaters and the Murphy Family Foundation also work hard in giving back to the community with a variety of events and fundraisers that help local schools, Greater Trail youth, Special Olympics, minor hockey, and more.

“There is also the Trail Hockey Society that has some scholarships that go out as well fueled from our game day,” said Clare. “Also, our alumni has been picking up speed with events we’re doing, giving back to the community for families in need, and important community programs.”

In addition to the $279 adult pass, youth (13-18 yrs old) season tickets run at $129 ($5.20 a ticket), and Kids (12 and under) are $49 (only $2 a ticket).

“We are trying to keep our season tickets low, and as of today I think we’re the lowest in the league,” added Clare.

“We strive to give the best game-day experience for our fans.”

Season ticket discount ends May 31, with the adult price going up to $359 on June 1.
