Water main bursts in East Trail

A burst water main in East Trail left residents without water for a number of hours on Saturday

A 2nd Avenue water main burst between Main and McLean Streets on Saturday morning near the Aquatic Centre. The four-inch pipe gushed water and sand onto the street before Trail City crews brought it under control. However, water was turned off to residents in Shavers Bench and East Trail into the afternoon. The City hoped to have the problem resolved in a few hours. Jim Bailey photo.
