Mother Nature threw this weekend’s scheduled Western Regional Pond Hockey Championship in Rossland a bodycheck.

For the second year in a row, mild temperatures have forced organizers to postpone the tournament for a week.

“Due to an unstable weather forecast we're forced to reschedule the tournament to next weekend,” said organizer John Reed in a release. “Our apologies for the late notice, however Mother Nature is not cooperating but looks to bring in lots of cold weather for next weekend.

“Our primary purpose is to deliver a great experience and solid ice and we do not feel that due to weather we're able to do that this weekend.”
