Michael Joseph McIsaac

Michael Joseph McIsaac

Michael Joseph McIsaac was born on September 24, 1989, at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, and passed on July 14, 2016, near Fruitvale, BC, on his way home to make dinner for his fiancé. Mike is 26 years old with goals and dreams that were stopped abruptly.

He is survived by his beloved Fiancé; Victoria Gladue, Mother and Father; Sonia and Ray McIsaac, his beloved brothers; Douglas McIsaac (Krysten) and Luke McIsaac, his grandfather; Douglas McIsaac, his G-ma Patty Crain, and many uncles, aunts and cousins. Waiting and watching for Mike to come up the driveway are his well loved animals; Nelson, Paisley (PP – Pretty Paisley), Kitty and Turd. Mike is predeceased by NoNo Mirio Bronca, Grandmother Phyllis McIsaac, and cousin Devon McIsaac. He proudly wore his family crest given to him by his NoNo. His Legacy will continue as he has shared his love, laughs, tears, and sweat with family, friends, employers, co-workers, and anyone that he has ever had the pleasure of meeting Mike.

Michael graduated from J.L Crowe in 2007 and was already working at Teck Cominco as the youngest employee on the hill. He was very proud of his 8 years at Teck, as he was a very determined and motivated young man. He loved his gold and only went for the best. Mike is a gentlemen and greatly recognized for his loyalty, hard work and love for life. He was very well balanced and took time to enjoy quading, fishing, golfing, bowling and his most favourite…sledding. Memories have been made through all seasons, as being outdoors is where he would rather be, however watching the same movie 30 times never got old for him either. His most recent goals and loves have been working on his land, clearing, building, shopping for firewood and driving his little bobcat. Since moving out to his property, Mike has been busy working in his beautiful garden with his “wife”, but only to share his amazing talent for cooking with those who he loves. He was such a genuine person who helped out his friends and his family when they needed him at the drop of a hat…when you called, he came. His thoughtfulness was endless. When Mike wasn’t calling his mom twice a day (often asking for money) he was bringing her a steeped tea to her place of work at Columbia Family Medicine. Afterwards he could be found hanging out with his dad, solving the problems of the world and convincing his dad what he should purchase next. Mike had a great sense of humour and also thought it would be funny to spend Mike Lamoureux’s money, one of his best friends who shared property and projects together. His absolute favourite and very recent toy that he convinced his little brother to buy him, is a mount for his chainsaw to make wood building boards; because of these unfortunate circumstances, he only made 5. Mike is one of a kind and irreplaceable. He has touched so many souls and is greatly missed.
