Ada Piva

Mrs. Ada Piva, of Trail, BC passed away peacefully on September 21st 2022 at the age of 97.
Ada was born in Nogare, Crocetta del Montello, Italy on February 6, 1925. In 1949 as a young wife, she immigrated to Canada with her husband Gino.
Ada was a kind and gentle woman with a heart of gold. She was devoted to her faith in God, had an unfaltering love for her family and an impeccable strength of character. Ada always gave sound advice when she was asked, and never said an unkind word to anyone, or about anyone.
Ada enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, and spending time in her garden. Quite often the result of her efforts would be shared with family and friends as special treats.
Ada will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mirella (Frank) Como; 3 grandchildren, Steven (Jen), Leanne (Clint), Derek (Danielle); 5 great-grandchildren Cami, Blake, Sophia, Anthony & Theo; her sister-in-law Angelina Bolzonello; very dear and special cousin Giorgina Binotto; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family in both Canada and Italy.
Ada was predeceased by her husband, Gino; son, Harry; siblings, Maria Bianchin, Eufrasia Piccolo, Lena Bianchin, Mirro Bolzonello and Marcella Bolzonello.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:30 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Trail with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Entombment will take place in the Trail Mausoleum, Rossland, BC. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
Ada's family would like to thank Dr. Fischer, Dr. Baxter, Dr. Cochran, Dr. Kirby, Dr. Wiley, all the nurses in the emergency department and on 3rd floor for their care and kindness in her final days.
