It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ann at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on September 12, 2010. She was born on May 6, 1926 in Buckhaven, Scotland and has lived in Trail since 1930.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Rene, daughters Barbara (Jos) Bot, Maureen (Gary) Little, and sons Greg (Lorie), and Michael (Cheryl). She was an extremely proud grandmother to eight grandchildren; Megan, Darren and Bryan Bot, Alanna and Michael Little, Lorne and Jared Nedelec and Callen Nedelec, as well as four great grandchildren. Ann will be missed by her sisters Jill (Albert) Cronie and Nancy (Phill) Little, and brother Robert (Mary Anne) Rodger, as well as many close friends and relatives.
She lived in Trail for 80 years and was active in the community in the Catholic Women's League, Parent Teachers Committee, Royal Canadian Legion and served in the Women's Army Core in WWII. She was involved in many community associations throughout her life in Trail. Ann and Rene enjoyed their retirement years immensely with numerous travels and activities. They also devoted significant energy throughout all their lives to visiting friends and family, and took an active role in their grandchildren's live. -- even more so in retirement.
Father Gabriel will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.

For the last 18 months Ann lived in Mountain Side Village in Fruitvale where she made many new friends. The family would like to thank managers John and Sue Turco, and the staff and residents for making Mountain Side Village a home for Ann.
