It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne (Annie) McMurdo Ross. Wife, mother, nana and master banana bread maker. Anne`s story starts in Kirkintilloch, Scotland on January 31, 1949 where she was born to James and Elizabeth Bradford.
She spent her youth in Zambia Africa along with her siblings whom she adored. Anne then came to Canada in 1966, temporarily with her father, but ended up finding the love of her life on a blind date halloween dance.
She gave her heart to Clair Ross and to Canada where she made both her home.
Anne spent most of her life in the Rossland/Trail area where she and Clair raised their family. She was employed by Cominco where she worked many years until her retirement. Anne was known for her cooking and catering skills, as well as having the canny ability to make every person who crossed her path feel special. She had a compassionate and generous heart.
Anne went home to Jesus on September 17, 2021 surrounded by the love of her family.
Anne was predeceased by her oldest brother Jim Bradford, her mother Elizabeth Bradford and father James Clark Bradford as well as her brother-in-law David Sherwood of Cape Town South Africa.
Anne is also survived by her husband of 53 yrs. Clair Ross, son Chad Ross, daughter Nicole (Steve) Clarke, as well grandchildren Isabella Ross, Avril, Elyssa, Jachin and Finley Clarke.
Anne is also survived by her sisters Jane Sherwood and Janette (Adrian) Brown of South Africa and brother Stephen Bradford of Prince George BC and sister-in-law Linda Ross of Port Alberni, brother-in-laws Dennis (Penny) Dudley of Kelowna , David (Gail) Dudley of Christina Lake and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, U.S., Scotland, U.K. and South Africa.
Anne is greatly loved and will be desperately missed.
