March 24, 1948 - May 25, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Calvin (Cal) Noah Plamondon on May 25th 2019, with his family by his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Trail, BC he met the love of his life, Angie, while still in high school and together they had two children, Wayne and Colette, and a blissful 51 years of marriage together. Cal was the consummate father, husband, brother, and later, grandfather. Cal was happiest playing his guitar and at his best when playing in the family band, The Plamondon Brothers. He loved to go camping with family and friends, and they spent many happy summers together exploring campgrounds in the Kootenays and the US. He also spent many hours building and flying his RC model planes. Cal was funny, humble, loving, and one of the kindest men you'd ever want to meet.
Predeceased by his mother Ruth and father Noah, he is survived by wife Angie, son Wayne (Jana), daughter Colette (Ray), eight grandchildren, four siblings (Glen, Joanne, Brian, Carl), and many beloved extended family. His loss leaves a huge hole in our hearts and we will miss him always. Many thanks to Dr. Cameron, the Palliative Care Team, and all the nurses on the 3rd floor at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Kerby, Dr. Fisher, Erika and Danika.
No service by request. Brent Long of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Cal's memory can be made to Crohn's & Colitis Canada at PO Box 47147, City Square, Vancouver, BC, V5Z 4L6 or online at www.crohnsandcolitis.ca
