It is with profound sadness that the family of Catherine "Cathy" Lee Worsnop announce, after a courageous battle against cancer, surrounded by her family, she passed away on July 18, 2022.
She was born to Gary and Patricia Clausen(Moody) on August 23, 1966 in Trail, BC. Cathy stayed in the Kootenays where she met the love of her life Blair and married on September 23, 1989. Together, Blair and Cathy, raised three children, Christie, Guy and Sara.
Cathy loved finding treasures. You would often see her at the thrift stores, cruising garage sales, or trying to repair someone's prized possessions. She worked hard on her and Blair's acreage, putting together the most beautiful flower beds. Vegetable gardening was another favorite pastime of hers and the enormous sunflowers she grew one year will never be forgotten.
With her protective and loyal best friend Louie dog by her side, she always made sure her hummingbird feeders were full and planned out her dream of starting her own bee hives. But what she loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren; Taylor, Jayden, Dayne, Riley and Jocee. "Mamma" always found the best treasures for her babies.
She leaves behind her husband, children, grandchildren, parents, brother and sister, a large extended family, and a world full of people who loved her. Until we meet again - we love you more...
As per Cathy's wishes, there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a cancer society, support your local thrift stores or bee sanctuaries.
