Dan Horan

In loving memory ~
Dan chose to join Jeffrey and Nonni on a new adventure and left Lina and Joseph to cherish the memories.
Dan was born in Trail and grew up in the close-knit community of Genelle with his parents Joe and Irene, and his younger brother, Terry. He lived there until he and Lina married and moved to Trail.
At an early age, Dan fell under the mentorship of Willi Krause and followed in his footsteps of coaching track and field to hundreds of young athletes. Dan enjoyed being at the track meets to watch and support his athletes as they competed.
Dan enjoyed the friendships he made on the golf course, at the curling rink, at the grocery store, at the Legion meat draws, at the ball games, at the bridge tournaments, at the track meets and at work. Dan was a volunteer - he didn't sign up, he stepped up. If there was something to do, he would do it.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Irene; his brother, Terry; and his son, Jeffrey. Dan is remembered by his partner Lina, his son Joseph, his nephew Michael, and Lina's large, Italian family. Aunt Mabel's family will miss 'their special guy'.
An opportunity to remember Dan will take place at 2 pm on Monday, June 19, 2023, in the Victoria View room in the Trail Memorial Centre in Trail. Kole Roth of Clark's Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
