Delina was born on July 24th, 1934 in Trail, BC and passed away with family by her side on April 10, 2021 in Trail, BC.
She was predeceased by her husband, Franco and her sister, Yolanda Filipuzzi and her parents, Irene and Ido Dolfo.
Delina will be dearly missed by her five children, Louisa (Gerry), Rick (Mary), Dina (Ray), Bill (Ellen) and Jim (Lea), her grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sisters, Ada Warner and Doreen Santarossa, her Aunt Ava Mason, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Delina enjoyed golfing, knitting, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and watching her sons and grandchildren play sports. She spent many nights and afternoons watching baseball and hockey either on TV or at the arena and ball fields, mumbling under her breath if she felt the ref or ump made a bad call. Her greatest love, however, was her family and she was happiest in the kitchen cooking for a houseful at a holiday gathering.
Our mom and Nonna was the heart of the home. She was a kind soul with a good sense of humour. She was a great cook and her family enjoyed her pasta and other delicious meals.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was the best 80-year- old mini-sticks goalie on the planet. She was especially fond of babies and would sit for hours holding her grandchildren. She also loved dancing and attending the Italo-Canadese banquets where she could dance the night away.
