We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Dianna at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on November 7, 2013 with her family at her side. The family wants to thank everyone for their kindness to Dianna - too many people to name.

Dianna was born in Rossland on November 15, 1946 to Louis and Frances Schwartzenhauer. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Melvin, her sister Marlene Coutts, and brother-in-law Ed Coutts.

Dianna is survived by her son Robert, daughter-in-law Rhonda, grandson Kayden, granddaughter Eryn, brother Chuck (Judith) Schwartzenhauer, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

In her younger years, Dianna loved to camp and fish. Later, she was an avid sports fan watching her favorite teams on TV; the Canucks in winter and Blue Jays in summer. Playing cards was great fun with her many friends in Jubilee Place. Knitting was her passion, making blankets that brought pleasure to all who received them; it must have been the love and care she put into each one.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Trail at 1:00 pm. Jordan Wren of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family’s online register at www.myalternatives.ca
