Dorothy Margaret Muir (nee Haas) born in Landis, Saskatchewan, passed away while sleeping peacefully, in her room at Columbia View Lodge with family by her side. Dorothy was predeceased by her husbands James Alexander Robinson and Bruce Muir, her mother Irene Howe (Edward) her daughter Karen Black (Rod), and her siblings Lucille Fraser, Lorne Haas (Doreen), and Ronald (Myrtle).
Mom is survived by her son Robert "Rob" Robinson (Rona), stepsons; Brian (Deb), Gordon (Olga), Glenn (Elaine), Doug (Diane), and Janet, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren on both sides of her large family.
Dorothy was a person who always put others needs before her own. Particularly, she made sure everyone had eaten and drank their milk. She loved her curling and golf with Alec in her early years and later spent many hours fishing and camping with Bruce on Kootenay Lake.
Mom lived a long and fulfilling life and will be missed by all who knew her.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Columbia Riverview (KP) Cemetery. Andreas Schmitz of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with the arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the heart and stroke foundation would be much appreciated.
