The Family of Dorothy (Dot) Pearl Waite sadly announce her passing after a long and courageous battle with her illness. With her three daughters by her side, Mom passed into eternal rest on July 11, 2019.
Dot was born January 13, 1937 in Trail, B.C. and remained in her East Trail home until her passing.
Mom (Nana) will remain in the hearts of her three daughters and their families, Donna Johnson (Frank), Trevor (Kourtenay), Tylor (Lauren) Debbie Eccles (Gus), Jennifer (Rocky), David (Skyla) Denise McRae, Tarin (Mathieu), Alicia, Alexandria (Garrett). Besides her seven grandchildren she was also blessed with six great-grandchildren - Owen, Alyssa, Ethan, Adalynn, Izzabella and Zelda. She is survived by her two sisters Ellen (Harold), Lillian (Todd) and four brothers Norman, Tommy (Yvonne), Frankie, Jackie.
Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Abe, two sisters in law; Sandra and Frances, mother Winnie and father Norman.
Dot was a stay at home Mom and her family meant the world to her. She loved her time at Deep Lake and her trips to Spokane. She was very talented in her crafts, loved to sew, knit and quilt. She proudly enjoyed attending her grand kids and great grandkids baseball, hockey, soccer and music events. She never missed grandparent's day at school.
Mom's will to live and strength continued to the very end.

Thank you to Dr. Cochrane and Dr. Scotland for the many years of care and the Home Support Team that allowed her to stay in her home that was so very much her wish.
A private family service will be held on July 18, 2019. Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence by visiting the family's register at www.myalternatives.ca
