Eugenio (Jimmy) Maluta passed away on October 24, 2019 at the age of 94. Born on December 30, 1924 he grew up in Fontanafredda, Italy.
He married Antonia (Ani) Vettorel in 1950 and together they immigrated to Trail, BC the following year. His diverse employment included, Cominco, CPR, Waneta Dam, Vance Brothers, Kelly Douglas and City of Trail.
After his retirement he enjoyed - Bocce, woodworking, fishing, hunting, travelling, gardening, wine making, and gambling. He also enjoyed visiting his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered by his family as a very generous soul.
Eugenio was predeceased by his son, Danny, his granddaughter, Jennifer, all his siblings, and his nephew Gianni. He is survived by his wife, Ani, of 69 years, children Walter (Sue) and Nadia (Marty), 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish on November 4, 2019 at 10:30 am with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant.
Inurnment will take place at the Trail Columbarium. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
