April 20, 1941 - August 12, 2019
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to George Percy McAuley, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many. It brings us so much sadness as we announce his passing on Monday, August 12, 2019.
George was born in Vernon, BC on April 20, 1941. He spent his younger years in Rossland, eventually moving his family to Trail and worked many years at Cominco. His true joy came from his many passions including hunting with his family, fishing on both Kootenay Lake and Vancouver Island and re-telling the stories of his adventures. He
loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, friends, and spent countless hours perfecting his gardens.
He was always surrounded by a family that loved him. He will be truly missed by his wife of 47 years Kathleen, his son Christopher (Sarah), his daughter Jennifer (Dean), his four grandchildren; Grady, Avery, Taya and Kade. He will also be remembered by his brothers Glen and Wayne and sisters, Marlene and Joan.
A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held at the Trail Royal Canadian Legion on Sunday, August 18th, 2019 at 11 am. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family's online register at www.myalternatives.ca
