Gloria died peacefully after a courageous but brutal battle with Lewy body dementia on June 19, 2023, in Victoria, B.C. She was born in Vancouver on May 28, 1941, to Bob and Jean Gerace.
She is survived by her husband Len, her daughter Susan Allen, son Michael Allen both from Squamish, her sister Dianne Fox from the Bahamas, brother Robert Gerace from Trail, B.C. Gloria leaves two granddaughters Erin and Danielle Mawdsley from B.C. and Emma, Juliet, and Hailey Lepp from Ontario, nieces Jeanene and Sarah Fox, and nephews Ulrich and Aaron Fox from the Bahamas.
Gloria was a "Force of Nature" who graduated from the Nursing Program at Camosun College in Victoria at the age of 51 where she proudly worked at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Emergency for many of the following 12 years. Her love of travel with Len kept her adventurous, gardening kept her grounded, and she always had the love of a yellow lab by her side - first Jake then Max. Her love of running was her mission, completing countless Island Series 10k's and also completing many marathons.
She was a beautiful, determined, tough, and caring wife and mother who is sadly missed by all of us. She leaves us with memories of love, humour, adventure, and good food.
