Ida was born on March 12, 1930 in Valvasone, Pordenone, Italy. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in Trail, BC with her family by her side.
Ida immigrated to Canada in 1956 to marry her husband Angelo. She worked at Teck for 20 years prior to her retirement.
She was predeceased by her husband Angelo, parents Galliano and Giuseppina Nocente and sisters Adriana and Maria.
Her greatest love was her family, they along with the animals brought her great joy and happiness. She enjoyed spending time in her garden under the tree and tending her vegetables and beautiful flowers. Ida had great fun on her many trips to Reno with friends. She loved watching a good hockey game or soccer match.
Ida is survived by her children; Daniele (Antonietta) Infanti, Lori (Silvano) Turco and Linda Infanti (Karl Turner). She was a loving and caring Nonna to grandchildren; Jennifer (Erik), Nicole, Matthew (Sarah), Patrick (Kerri), and Peter and Bisnonna to great-grandchildren; Cohen, Alyssa and Sophia. Her sister Anna Maria and several nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy also mourn her loss.
A private Mass of Christian Burial was held for her immediate family at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Ida was laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery. Carolyn Penosky of Clark's Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and care aides who provided Ida with compassionate care while in the hospital and throughout the years.
