Irene was born July 13, 1951 in Edmonton, AB to Helen & Edmond Holtz. The family moved to Vernon where she met Melvin Reade in 1965. They married March 30, 1968 and moved to Enderby.
Annette was born in 1970 and they moved to Trail. Their happy family grew in 1971 with a son, Sean. Irene went to school to be a hairdresser and not long after the young family moved to their forever home in Fruitvale in 1978. She worked as a hairdresser in Trail until her retirement in 1999. In her retirement she enjoyed swimming, golfing and camping.
She is predeceased by her parents Helen & Edmond Holtz, sister Laura MacKiewich and brothers Robert and Lenard Holtz she is also predeceased by brothers-in-law Paul MacKiewich, Kevin Gartner and Ira Johnson.
Irene is survived by husband Mel Reade, daughter Annette Karstad (Toni & Jacob), son Sean Reade, daughter-in-law Angela Reade (Kyla & Jadyn), in-laws Faith Holtz and Helen Holtz, Donald and Ev Reade, Beverly Johnson, Laurene Gartner, Robert & Karen Reade and Tracey Reade, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Irene will be greatly missed by all.
